StarWizard Chess is a chess club and school that helps promote and introduce the game of chess to our students. Our mission is to provide top-notch instruction and assistance to develop the cognitive skills of our students, so they can improve their chess and problem solving skills!

Chess professional and chess coach. I have taught at Harker School, Covington, Tulip, Palo Verde Elementary, Hoover (Burlingame), Cornerstone Academy, Hammer Montessori and Challenger Berryessa.

  • Won 1st tournament at age 9 – Philippines Under 12 Championship
  • Competed in international tournaments
  • Defeated future world champion, Viswanathan Anand as a junior
  • International Master at age 17
  • Won the Asian Junior Championships
  • Played several tournaments around the world 
  • Won the Southern California State Champion 4 times 
  • Won or tied for first – Southern California Open Championship  
  • Won the US Open, American Open, National Open, and many others. 
  • Competed in the US Championships and represented the Philippines in two Chess Olympiads.
